In warehousing and logistics, rekkertruck is often used as a generic label for a forklift-like machine with a hydraulic lifting mechanism; in other contexts, it may refer to a heavy-duty tow/recovery vehicle or a telehandler employed to extend reach.

Description: A rekkertruck typically features a chassis, driven wheels, a hydraulic mast, and forks or a lifting arm. Variants include counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks with telescoping masts, and telescopic handlers. Capacity ranges widely from a few thousand to several tens of thousands of kilograms. There are sit-down and stand-up operator styles; some models are electric battery-powered, others run on internal combustion engines.
