Ragasztókra, commonly translated as adhesives, are substances used to bond materials together. They work through various mechanisms, including surface wetting, mechanical interlocking, and chemical bonding. The choice of adhesive depends on the materials being joined, the required bond strength, environmental conditions, and the application method.

Adhesives can be broadly categorized into several types. Solvent-based adhesives use a solvent to dissolve or disperse the adhesive polymer; the bond forms as the solvent evaporates. Proper surface cleaning and sometimes roughening are crucial for optimal adhesion. The physical and chemical properties of the bonded materials, such as porosity, surface energy, and chemical reactivity, also play a significant role. Ragasztókra are essential in numerous industries, including construction, automotive, aerospace, electronics, packaging, and consumer goods, offering a versatile alternative to traditional joining methods like welding, riveting, or sewing.
