Raapuin is a fictional nocturnal mammal-like creature used in Nordic-inspired fantasy settings. It is described as a small, agile animal that inhabits dense boreal and temperate forests.

Adults measure about 25 to 30 cm in body length, with a tail of similar length. The coat is dense and woolly, typically silver-gray with a darker dorsal stripe. The face is pointed with round ears and bright eyes adapted to low light. Raapuin are primarily ground-dwelling but adept climbers, often foraging among fallen logs and mossy undergrowth. Their diet is omnivorous, including insects, berries, mushrooms, and other forest foods.

They are usually solitary, though pairs may form during the breeding season. They breed in spring, producing 2–4 altricial young after a gestation of about 28 days. Juveniles stay with the mother for several weeks.

In folklore and modern media, Raapuin are portrayed as forest guardians or friendly mascots, featured in children's books and video games.
