Quadshielded refers to a type of coaxial cable construction designed for enhanced signal protection and reduced interference. Standard coaxial cables typically have one or two layers of shielding. Quadshielded cables, as the name suggests, incorporate four layers of shielding. These layers usually consist of a combination of aluminum foil and braided shielding. The purpose of this extensive shielding is to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) from external sources.
