Common provisioning models include: on-demand or elastic provisioning, which allocates resources dynamically in response to demand; reserved or committed provisioning, which provides capacity for a set period at a lower cost in exchange for upfront commitment; spot or auction-based provisioning, which uses surplus capacity at reduced prices with availability risk; fixed provisioning, which maintains stable baseline capacity; hybrid provisioning, which combines multiple approaches to balance cost and flexibility; and self-service provisioning, which enables users to request resources through automated portals with governance constraints.
