Proativos are a type of plasma TV panel used in some high-end television sets. The name "proactivo" is a portmanteau of "pro" and "activo," Spanish for "protective active." These panels are designed with a thin, protective layer to shield the screen from emissions and electromagnetic interference. This layer is typically made of a transparent material, such as indium tin oxide or phosphorus, and is capable of absorbing or redirecting certain frequencies.

Proativos were initially developed by Brazilian electronics company, Litronix, in the late 1990s as a solution to improve the concealment of plasma TV emissions. Since their introduction, these panels have gained popularity among manufacturers due to their adaptability and cost-effectiveness. Proativos are often used in high-end TVs, projectors, and displays for their exceptional image quality and ability to prevent exposure to electromagnetic radiation.

Proativos can be distinguished from other types of plasma panels by their distinctive thin, reddish-gray sheet-like appearance. They also have a reduced viewing angle, meaning the image quality drops off significantly if the viewer is positioned at an extreme angle.
