Posikach is a fictional mammal created for worldbuilding and speculative biology. It appears in online encyclopedias and science-fiction narratives as an arboreal omnivore native to forested regions in a fictional realm. There is no verified specimen or official taxonomic classification.

A typical posikach measures 28–42 cm in body length, with a tail of 28–46 cm and a weight of 0.9–2.5 kg. Fur is dense and varies from cinnamon-brown to silvery-gray. A distinguishing feature is a subtle bioluminescent stripe along the spine in some depictions, used for signaling in dim understory. They have large eyes and ears, a semi-prehensile tail, and sharp curved claws for gripping bark.

Habitat and ecology place posikach in tropical and subtropical forests, often described as mid-canopy or upper understory dwellers in the fictional Verdaran region of the Verdara continent. They favor humid forests with abundant fruiting trees and insect-rich understories. They are omnivores, feeding on fruits, seeds, insects, and occasionally small vertebrates. Activity ranges from crepuscular to nocturnal in different versions. Socially, posikach are mostly solitary, with pairings during the breeding season. Communication includes whistles and tail signaling, with some depictions showing luminescent cues for courtship or territory.

Reproduction is typically a single litter of 1–3 offspring, with a gestation of roughly 40–50 days; young are weaned after several weeks and reach independence in 3–6 months.

Taxonomy and status are fictional: posikach is sometimes placed in the genus Posikachus within the family Posikachidae, but there is no canonical taxonomy. As a fictional species, it has no real-world conservation status; stories may assign Endangered or Near Threatened statuses to explore habitat loss within their worlds.
