The resulting material is lightweight, possesses excellent thermal insulation properties, and is resistant to moisture and many chemicals.

It is widely used for insulating walls, roofs, and floors in both residential and commercial buildings. Its low thermal conductivity significantly reduces heat transfer, leading to energy savings and improved indoor comfort. It can also be found in lightweight concrete, decorative elements, and as a core material in composite structures.
