Plateleták is a small printed promotional document used in Czech-speaking contexts. It is typically a compact format, commonly A6 or A5, and may be a single sheet or a folded leaflet. Plateletáky are distributed directly by individuals on the street, handed to customers, inserted into mailboxes, or included as newspaper inserts. They are used by businesses, event organizers, non-profit organizations, and political campaigns to convey a brief message, advertise products or services, announce events, or provide information.

A plateleták usually contains a clear headline, a concise description of the offer or event, pricing or discounts if applicable, contact details, and often a logo or image. Many include a QR code or a website address. The design aims to attract attention with a bold layout and a limited amount of text, enabling quick reading.

In relation to other printed formats, plateleták is smaller and more transient than a plakát (poster) and is intended for direct distribution rather than public display. In everyday language, plateleták is often used interchangeably with leták, though regional preferences vary and usage can differ by context.

Regulation and usage vary by country and context. In advertising, plateletáky must comply with consumer protection rules, and political plateletáky are subject to campaign-finance and disclosure rules, especially around elections.
