A pecsétnyomókkal, known in English as sealing wax stamps or simply wax seals, are tools used to create an impression in molten sealing wax. This impression typically serves as a form of authentication, decoration, or personal mark. Historically, they were widely used to secure letters and documents, indicating that the contents had not been tampered with and identifying the sender.

The stamps themselves are usually made of metal, commonly brass or bronze, though older or more ornate examples might be crafted from other materials. The handle is often made of wood, metal, or bone and can be decorative or utilitarian.
