Paneelinäyttö, or panel display, refers to a type of electronic display that uses a grid of pixels arranged in a panel to create an image. These displays are ubiquitous in modern technology, found in everything from smartphones and televisions to computer monitors and digital signage. The fundamental principle involves controlling individual pixels or small groups of pixels to emit light or change their color, thereby forming the visible image.

There are several common types of panel display technologies. Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) technology, for instance, uses a backlight and liquid crystals to modulate the light passing through color filters. Color gamut refers to the range of colors the display can reproduce. The refresh rate indicates how many times the image on the screen is updated per second, crucial for smooth motion in videos and games.
