An ozonizer is an electronic device designed to generate ozone (O₃), a molecule composed of three oxygen atoms. Ozone is a powerful oxidizing agent that can be used for various applications, including air purification, water treatment, and disinfection. Ozonizers work by passing an electric current through pure oxygen or air, causing the oxygen molecules to split and recombine into ozone.

In air purification, ozonizers are often used to eliminate odors, mold, bacteria, and other airborne contaminants. The ozone molecules react with pollutants, breaking them down into less harmful substances. However, ozone can also be harmful to humans and pets in high concentrations, so its use indoors is typically limited to well-ventilated spaces or areas where people and animals are absent. While ozone has many benefits, its use requires caution due to its potential health risks. Exposure to high levels of ozone can irritate the respiratory system, cause headaches, and worsen conditions like asthma.
