The offsettrüki process begins with the creation of a relief plate, which is a metal plate with raised images of the text or image to be printed. The plate is then coated with a layer of ink, and the excess ink is wiped off, leaving only the ink in the recessed areas. The plate is then placed in contact with a rubber blanket, which transfers the image to the blanket. The blanket is then pressed against the printing surface, such as paper or cardboard.

During the printing process, the image on the plate is reversed, so that the opposite of the intended design is printed on the plate. This is done to account for the way the ink will be transferred to the printing surface. The paper or other material is then fed through the press, and the image is transferred onto the paper.
