Odlewiana is a Polish term used as an adjective meaning "cast" or "made by casting." It describes objects produced through the casting process, in which molten material is poured into a mold and allowed to solidify to take the mold’s shape. The root odlew comes from odlewać, to pour or cast, and odlew refers to the resulting casting.

In metallurgy and manufacturing, odlewiana parts are created by various casting methods. The main ones include odlew piaskowy (sand casting), odlew inwestycyjny (investment casting, also called lost-wax casting), and odlew ciśnieniowy (die casting). Other methods such as shell molding and lost-foam casting are also used. Materials typically involved are ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including cast iron, steel, aluminum and zinc alloys, bronze and copper alloys. Plastics and ceramic castings are also produced using analogous casting principles.

Odlewiana components are valued for the ability to produce complex geometries, internal cavities, and near-net-shape parts that minimize finishing operations. They are often more economical for intermediate production volumes and large or geometrically intricate parts, but they can exhibit surface finish and dimensional tolerances that require machining. Common defects include porosity, shrinkage, cold shuts, and misruns, which are addressed through mold design, gating and riser systems, and process control.

Quality assurance for odlewiana parts typically involves non-destructive testing such as radiography or dye-penetrant testing, along with dimensional inspection and material certification. Typical applications span automotive and heavy machinery housings, valves and fittings, art and architectural elements, and various consumer and industrial components.
