Nonurkers are individuals who, out of personal choice or circumstance, do not participate in playing or advocating for the game of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) or other role-playing games (RPGs) in the context of a meetup group or community.

Historically, D&D and other RPGs have been associated with a cultural phenomenon known as "hackerspace" and "Ctrl-Alt-Open" movements, where enthusiasts organize social gatherings, conventions, and meetups to share and showcase their passion for gaming, technology, and software development. Nonurkers, being an antithesis to the hacker culture, tend not to be active in such grass-roots events or digital communities.

Nonurkers' motivations for abstaining from these activities vary, with logical and illogical reasons including preference for more traditional gameplay settings, lack of space for physically large groups, clash with group ideologies, and technological or time irreconcilable differences with meetups.

Some people view nonurkers as "non-hackers", individuals who simply use and interact with gaming software in a neutral, casual or non-participatory(non-diworks) manner, hence drifts further away from the thread persistence.
