Neoklassikalist, or neoclassicalist, is a term used to describe a person who subscribes to neoclassical ideas across various domains, especially in the arts, economics, and political philosophy. It denotes adherence to a revival or continuation of classical forms, principles, or methods, often in contrast to romantic or avant-garde currents.

In art and architecture, neoclassicism emerged in the 18th century, inspired by ancient Greece and Rome. Neoklassikalist artists and architects emphasized symmetry, restraint, clear lines, and idealized figures, aiming for timeless harmony rather than ornate effect. The style sought to express civic virtue and rational clarity through its visual language.

In literature and aesthetics, neoclassicism valued order, clarity, and moral didacticism, drawing on classical models and rules of imitation. In music, neoclassical tendencies highlight formal balance and transparent textures, often as a reaction to late Baroque complexity and expressive excess.

In social sciences, neoclassical economics is a major tradition that models economic behavior through rational choice, utility maximization, marginal analysis, and equilibrium. Adherents are described as neoclassical economists or neoklassikalists in some languages, emphasizing mathematical modeling and the analytical tools of marginal and equilibrium theory.

In contemporary discourse, the term may be used more broadly to describe a preference for classical forms, methods, or institutional arrangements, or to identify a lineage within classical liberalism that stresses order, rule-based systems, and restrained change.
