muusikasignaal
A muusikasignaal, or musical signal, refers to the electrical representation of sound waves produced by musical instruments, voices, or other sound sources. This signal is what is processed, transmitted, and reproduced by audio systems to create audible music. Fundamentally, a sound wave is a mechanical vibration that travels through a medium, typically air. When this vibration is converted into an electrical signal, it captures the characteristics of the original sound, such as its amplitude (loudness), frequency (pitch), and timbre (sound quality).
The conversion from sound to an electrical muusikasignaal is achieved using a transducer, most commonly a microphone.
