Lågvingekonstruktion is a term in aviation referring to an aircraft wing that is mounted below the main fuselage. This arrangement is in contrast to high-wing and mid-wing designs. Aircraft with a low-wing configuration often feature the wings attached at the bottom of the fuselage. This placement can influence an aircraft's handling characteristics, visibility, and structural design.

One advantage of the lågvingekonstruktion is that it can provide a clear view for the pilot, especially downwards and to the sides. The wings are also typically below the passenger cabin, which can allow for a flatter cabin floor and easier entry and exit. Structurally, a low wing can sometimes simplify landing gear attachment, as the gear can be directly integrated into the wing structure or fuselage at the wing root.

However, the low wing can also present challenges. Ground clearance can be an issue, particularly for aircraft with propellers, as the propeller might be too close to the ground. In the event of a rough landing or crash, the wings are more susceptible to damage compared to a high-wing design where the fuselage offers some protection. Visibility directly downwards might also be slightly obstructed by the wing itself. Many general aviation aircraft and some military trainers utilize the lågvingekonstruktion due to a balance of its advantages in visibility, cabin layout, and structural considerations.
