Lukujonot, or "number games," refer to a category of traditional Finnish folk games and puzzles that involve counting, patterns, or numerical sequences. These games are often played by children and have been passed down through generations as part of Finnish oral culture. Lukujonot typically require little to no materials, relying instead on verbal instructions, hand gestures, or simple objects like stones or sticks.

One of the most well-known examples is *Kymmenen pikkusormea* ("Ten Little Fingers"), a counting rhyme game where players pretend to count down from ten fingers while performing simple actions, such as waving or clapping. Another popular variant is *Kaksi, kolme, huutaa!* ("Two, three, shout!"), a game where players take turns counting up to three while others try to guess when the next player will shout. If the guess is correct, the guesser takes a step forward; if not, they step back.

Lukujonot often serve as both entertainment and a way to teach children about numbers, memory, and quick thinking. They are also used in Finnish schools as simple, engaging activities to reinforce basic arithmetic and social skills.
