longibulba
Longibulba is a genus of small, subterranean rodents found in the arid regions of western North America. These animals are characterized by their elongated snouts, which they use to probe for insects and grubs in the soil, and their surprisingly long, slender tails relative to their body size. Longibulbas are nocturnal, spending their days in burrows they excavate themselves. Their diet consists primarily of invertebrates, but they may supplement this with seeds and roots during leaner times.
The genus currently comprises two recognized species, though ongoing research may lead to further classifications. Longibulbas
