They operate on standardized AC power with constant-current drivers and may feature dimming interfaces such as 0-10 V, DALI, or phase-cut dimming.

Color temperature ranges from warm white (2700–3500 K) to neutral (4000–5000 K) and daylight (5000–6500 K). Color rendering index (CRI) is typically above 80, enabling accurate color perception. Luminous efficacy often exceeds 100 lumens per watt, depending on model and driver efficiency. Lifespan commonly ranges 30,000 to 100,000 hours, with lumen maintenance rated to 70–90% at end of life.

Ledflatene offer advantages including high energy efficiency, low heat output, and reduced maintenance due to long service life. They provide uniform illumination with minimal glare and can improve office comfort and visual performance. Challenges include higher upfront cost compared with fluorescent fixtures, thermal management requirements, and the need for proper electrical integration and compliance with local lighting standards.

Applications span offices, schools, healthcare facilities, retail spaces, and transit areas, where recessed or surface-mounted flat panels create a clean, uninterrupted ceiling line. Proper selection considers brightness, color temperature, CRI, dimming compatibility, and installation method.
