Lakejabut sits amid mixed forests and rolling hills, with a temperate climate and moderate to high annual precipitation. It receives input from several small streams and groundwater seepage, while its outflow helps regulate water levels seasonally. The lake supports a relatively clear, cool-water regime that supports a layered water column in deeper areas during the warm season.

Ecology

The shores of Lakejabut host reeds, sedges, and boggy wetlands that provide habitat for amphibians and waterfowl.
