Laatutodistukset are official documents that confirm a product, material or service meets defined quality requirements, standards, or specifications. They are issued by the manufacturer, supplier or an accredited testing laboratory and function as evidence of quality, conformity and traceability in the supply chain. The term is Finnish; in procurement and industry contexts it often appears alongside other documentation such as technical drawings, safety data sheets, and certificates of conformity.

Common types include product quality certificates, batch or mill test certificates, material certificates, test reports and inspection certificates. A typical contents section lists the product identification and supplier information, reference standards and technical specifications, description of the tests performed, results and acceptance criteria, batch or lot numbers, the issuing authority, date of issue and, if applicable, the certificate's validity period and signature.

Issuance may be performed by the manufacturer, a supplier, or an independent testing or certification body. In practice, customers and authorities may require laadutodistukset to verify quality, enable traceability, support quality assurance programs, or facilitate cross-border trade. They are commonly used in manufacturing, construction, metals and mining, chemicals, food, and other industries.
