Külmkäivitusprobleem refers to difficulties encountered when starting an internal combustion engine, particularly after it has been shut off for a prolonged period and is at ambient temperature. This issue is more prevalent in colder weather, hence the name "külmkäivitusprobleem," which translates to "cold start problem" in Estonian.

Several factors can contribute to a külmkäivitusprobleem. These include issues with the fuel delivery system, such as a weak fuel pump, clogged fuel injectors, or a faulty fuel pressure regulator.
