Koderna is the definite plural form of the Swedish noun kod, meaning the codes. The term is used across various domains to refer to systematic sets of rules, mappings, or identifiers that enable encoding, decoding, or interpretation of information. In Swedish grammar, kod is a neuter noun; its plural definite form is koderna, as in “koderna används i systemet.”

In information technology and computing, koder often denote specific encoding or signaling schemes, such as felkoder (error codes), statuskoder (status codes), and teckenkoder (character encodings) or färgkoder (color codes).
