This is a broad category of medical conditions affecting the various tubular structures within the body that transport substances or are involved in a passage. These disorders can impact a wide range of anatomical regions, from the urinary tract and digestive system to the circulatory system and even the ear.

In urology, kanalihäirete often refers to problems with the ureters, which carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder, or the urethra, which expels urine from the bladder out of the body. Examples include blockages, strictures (narrowing), or inflammation that impairs the normal flow of urine.

Within the digestive system, kanalihäirete might describe issues with the bile ducts, responsible for transporting bile from the liver and gallbladder to the small intestine, or intestinal blockages. Conditions like gallstones obstructing bile ducts or intestinal adhesions causing obstruction fall under this umbrella.
