Järnvägsöverkorsningar, also known as railway crossings or level crossings, are points where a railway line intersects with a road or pathway at the same level. They are a common feature in transportation networks and serve to allow for the safe passage of both trains and road traffic.

Various types of level crossings exist, ranging from simple farm crossings with no active protection to complex urban intersections with multiple tracks and sophisticated warning systems. The primary concern at any level crossing is preventing collisions between trains and vehicles or pedestrians.
