jitterihäiriö
Jitterihäiriö, often referred to as jitter disorder, is a neurological developmental disorder that affects motor control. It is characterized by involuntary, rapid, and repetitive movements or vocalizations called tics. These tics can be simple, involving a few muscle groups or sounds, or complex, involving multiple muscle groups or a sequence of sounds. Jitterihäiriö is not the same as Tourette syndrome, although they share some similarities and can co-occur. The exact cause of jitterihäiriö is not fully understood, but it is believed to involve a combination of genetic and environmental factors affecting brain development.
The onset of jitterihäiriö typically occurs in childhood, usually between the ages of five and seven. Symptoms
Diagnosis of jitterihäiriö is based on clinical observation and a review of the individual's symptom history.
