Isotroopsed is a neologism used to describe a method of organizing military forces or other large-scale organizations in which units are evenly distributed across a territory to achieve uniform troop density and equal access to logistics, communication, and support infrastructure. The term combines iso- from Greek meaning equal with troops, and the suffix -ed to indicate a state or process.

In practice, isotroopsed deployments aim to avoid regional concentrations of force that could be vulnerable to rapid mobilization of enemy fire or to supply chain disruptions, as well as to ensure redundancy in support networks. It often involves modular, standardized units, pre-positioned stockpiles, distributed bases or depots, and robust inter-unit communication systems to coordinate movement and sustainment.

Applications include theoretical models for peacetime force planning, wargaming scenarios, and informed world-building in fiction. In speculative or alternative histories, isotroopsed arrangements may be used to portray defense strategies that emphasize decentralization, egalitarian access to services, or resilient governance structures.

Critiques highlight significant trade-offs. Dispersion can complicate the execution of fast, concentrated offensives and may reduce local superiority in specific sectors. It can also impose higher overhead for administration, maintenance, and command and control. Real-world constraints such as geography, infrastructure, and political boundaries can hinder perfect isotrooping, making it primarily a theoretical or fictional construct rather than an established doctrine in contemporary practice.
