Inovacijam is the instrumental plural form of the Serbo-Croatian noun inovacija, used in Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin, and Serbian grammar. In English, the topic is generally referred to as innovations. The term denotes new or improved products, services, processes, methods, or business models that create value or solve problems.

Innovations can be categorized by object (product, process, organizational, marketing), by impact (incremental versus radical), or by source (in-house development, collaboration, open innovation). They pass through a lifecycle that typically includes idea generation, development, testing or prototyping, diffusion, and adoption.
