iOSlla is a fictional mobile operating system created as an educational model to explore concepts in app ecosystems, security, and user interface design inspired by iOS. It is not a commercial product and has no official distribution.

The concept originated in academic and hobbyist settings in the early 2020s as a lightweight, open-ended reference architecture for teaching OS principles. It is often used in coursework and demonstrations to illustrate how app isolation, system services, and user interaction can interact in a smartphone environment.

Design goals emphasize a familiar touch-based interface, a home screen, app grid, and standard gestures, along with a notification center and control center-inspired panels. The project also posits a modular kernel-like core, a secure app sandbox, code signing, and a permission model to manage access to device capabilities.

In practice, iOSlla exists as a set of design documents, mockups, and occasionally prototype code shared for educational purposes. There is no official hardware support or production-ready release, and implementations, if any, are unofficial and not compatible with real devices.
