Heraldikában is the Hungarian term for heraldry, the system of designing, displaying, and regulating coats of arms and other armorial insignia. It is a field that deals with the study and application of heraldic rules and traditions. Heraldry originated in medieval Europe as a way to identify knights and their families on the battlefield and in tournaments. The study of heraldikában involves understanding blazon, the specialized language used to describe coats of arms.
