Hemoglobinnak is a hypothetical class of oxygen-transport proteins inspired by vertebrate hemoglobins. It is discussed in speculative biology and science fiction to examine how changes in subunit composition, heme chemistry, or regulatory interactions could affect oxygen uptake and release. It is not an established biomolecule in current biochemistry.

Structure and composition: In the standard model, hemoglobinnak is a tetramer composed of four subunits arranged in two pairs, with each subunit containing a heme group capable of binding one oxygen molecule.
