Haymeadowlike is an adjective used to describe landscapes or plant communities that resemble traditional hay meadows, a form of temperate grassland historically mown for hay. The term is primarily descriptive and used in ecological writing and landscape planning rather than as a formal habitat category.

A haymeadowlike community typically features a diverse mixture of grasses and broadleaf plants. The sward is usually mid-height with an open canopy that allows many flowering species to appear at different times of the growing season. In such communities, a variety of grasses coexists with numerous forbs, creating seasonal blooms that support pollinators and other wildlife. The vegetation often forms a heterogeneous mosaic, with some patches kept short by mowing or grazing and others left taller.

Historical hay meadows were maintained by regular hay harvests, usually in late spring or early summer, and with limited fertilizer inputs. This management tends to suppress vigorous grasses that would crowd out forbs, thereby promoting plant diversity and a rich invertebrate fauna.
