Happiryhmät, also known as hydroxyl groups or alcohol functional groups, are a fundamental chemical moiety characterized by an oxygen atom bonded to a hydrogen atom (-OH). When a hydroxyl group is attached to a carbon atom, the resulting molecule is classified as an alcohol.
