gvSIG

gvSIG is a free and open-source geographic information system (GIS) project and desktop application for viewing, editing, analyzing, and presenting geospatial information. It originated in Valencia, Spain, in 2004 through collaboration among public administrations, universities, and software vendors and is maintained by the gvSIG Association. The project is released under the GNU General Public License and is developed as a multi-platform Java application.
