Genskabeceptors are a proposed class of cellular receptors that detect genomic or epigenomic information and translate it into cellular responses. The term is not universally standardized and may appear in speculative or niche literature; in mainstream biology the concept is often discussed as a theoretical extension of sensor systems that monitor gene expression, chromatin state, or DNA integrity.

Basic characteristics of genskabeceptors include the possibility of being transmembrane proteins, cytosolic receptors, or nuclear factors that recognize genomic cues such as DNA damage signals, copy-number variation, mutation burden, transcriptional signatures, or histone and chromatin modifications.
