Fintrådede is a Danish term (also used in Norwegian) that describes fabrics, yarns, or components made with very fine threads. In English, it is commonly translated as “fine-threaded.” The word emphasizes the fineness of the individual strands rather than only the overall fabric weight, and it can apply to both spun and filament yarns.

Characteristics of fintrådede materials include a light, smooth hand and often good drape. The high fineness of the threads can yield a soft, delicate surface and a crisp or airy feel depending on the fiber and the fabric structure.
