Extramöte, literally meaning an extra meeting, is a meeting convened outside the regular schedule to address matters that require timely consideration or cannot wait for the next planned session. The term is used primarily in Swedish-speaking organizational contexts, including municipal councils, boards of associations, and corporate bodies. In English-language usage, it is often rendered as extraordinary meeting or special meeting.

Extramöte are typically called to deal with urgent issues such as emergency situations, urgent policy decisions, or budgetary changes that cannot wait until the next ordinary meeting. They may involve deliberations on governance, administration, or other pressing matters. In public authorities and many organizations, the process for an extramöte is governed by procedural rules that specify who can requisition the meeting, how notice is given, who may attend, and what constitutes a quorum.

Procedures for an extramöte generally follow the same basic framework as ordinary meetings, though the timelines are shortened. The chair, or sometimes a specified subset of members or the management body, may trigger the meeting. Notices and agenda items are published to members and, where applicable, to the public. Minutes are recorded, and voting follows the same rules as in regular meetings, with attendance and participation potentially allowed by electronic means.
