enesehinnanguga

Enesehinnanguga is an Estonian adjective meaning “with self-esteem” or “having self-esteem.” It is formed from enesehinnang (self-esteem) plus the comitative suffix -ga, which expresses accompaniment or possession. The phrase is used to describe a person or a group characterized by a certain level of self-esteem, for example: “ta on enesehinnanguga inimene” (he/she is a person with self-esteem).

In psychology and education, enesehinnang is a central concept related to emotional well-being, motivation and social functioning. People described as enesehinnanguga are often considered to cope well with challenges and to show resilience, self-efficacy and goal-oriented behavior.
