Endoskoopilisi refers to procedures performed using an endoscope, a flexible or rigid tube equipped with a light and a camera. This instrument is inserted into the body, typically through a natural opening or a small incision, allowing medical professionals to visualize internal organs and structures. The camera transmits images to a monitor, enabling detailed examination of the area.

Endoscopic procedures are widely used in various medical specialties. In gastroenterology, they are crucial for diagnosing and treating conditions of the digestive tract. For instance, a colonoscopy examines the colon, a gastroscopy investigates the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum, and a sigmoidoscopy focuses on the lower part of the colon.
