elegís

Elegís is the second-person plural present indicative form of the Spanish verb elegir, meaning to elect or to choose. It is used with the pronoun vosotros, which is common in Spain and some other regions for informal address to a group. In much of Latin America, the corresponding form is not used, and speakers typically say “ustedes eligen” to express the same person and tense.

Conjugation in the present indicative is: yo elijo; tú eliges; él/ella/Ud. elige; nosotros elegimos; vosotros elegís;

Usage notes: elegir is used for selecting among options, voting, or appointing someone to a position. While
