Eindacceptatie is the formal acceptance by the client or user of a finished product or project, indicating that it meets the agreed specifications and is ready for final handover. The term is most commonly used in construction, civil engineering and large IT or software projects in Dutch-speaking regions. It marks the transition from construction or development to the operation and maintenance phase.

The process typically follows a pre‑acceptance review, during which the contractor demonstrates that all contractual obligations have been fulfilled. A check list of deliverables, quality tests, safety inspections or code reviews is used to verify completeness. The client, often assisted by an independent inspector or project manager, then performs a site test or user acceptance test. Any defects identified are recorded in a defect log and must be corrected before final acceptance is granted.
