efficere

Efficere is a Latin verb meaning to bring about, to effect, or to accomplish. It is a compound of ex- (out, thoroughly) and facere (to do or make), and it conveys the sense of bringing a result into being rather than simply making something in the ordinary sense.

Form and conjugation: Efficere is a third-conjugation verb of the so-called -io class (often called the -io or mixed group). Its present active indicative forms include efficio, efficis, efficit, efficimus, efficitis, efficiunt. The infinitive is efficere, the first-person present is efficio, the perfect active is effeci, and the supine is effectum. The passive forms exist as well, and the participial forms derive from the same root.

Usage: Efficere takes a direct object to express bringing about a thing or result.
