Drukuitputting is a term used in hydrogeology, reservoir engineering and fluid-network management to describe the decrease of pressure in a confined or semi-confined reservoir or distribution system as a result of fluid withdrawal. The word combines druk (pressure) and uitputting (depletion or drawing out). It refers to the process by which extraction lowers the available pressure, which can limit deliverability, alter flow paths and affect system performance.
