Drivaggregat is a Norwegian term commonly translated as drive unit or powertrain. In automotive and broader mechanical contexts, it denotes the set of components that generate and transmit propulsion from the energy source to the moving parts of a vehicle or machine. The drivaggregat determines how power is delivered, how torque is distributed, and how efficiently energy is converted into motion.

Typical elements include the primary energy source (an internal combustion engine or an electric motor), the transmission or speed-changing device, driveshafts or axles, differentials, and the final drive to the wheels. In electric or hybrid systems, the drivetrain may include energy storage (batteries), power electronics (inverters or controllers), and coupling devices; in four-wheel-drive systems, transfer cases or differential locks are used to distribute torque to different axles.
