Dimensionswidth is a term that appears in discussions of multi-dimensional data structures and layouts to denote the horizontal extent, or width, of a dimension. It is not a standard mathematical term, but it is used informally in some software documentation and design discussions to contrast with height (vertical extent) and depth or channels (third dimension in some contexts).

In practice, dimensionswidth refers to the size of the width dimension in a data shape or layout. In image processing and computer vision, images are often described by width and height in pixels. In tensor terminology, a data array might have shapes such as (batch, channels, height, width) or (batch, height, width, channels); here the width corresponds to the last dimension in NCHW layout or the second-to-last dimension in NHWC layout, and its size equals the number of columns or pixels across the horizontal axis.

In user interfaces and grid layouts, dimensionswidth can also denote the allocated horizontal space for elements within a layout, expressed in pixels or relative units. When configuring aspect ratios, width interacts with height to determine the overall proportional appearance of an object or image.
