Diktatuurides, also known as dictatorships, are forms of government in which a single person, known as a dictator, holds absolute power and authority. The duration of a dictatorship can vary, from short-lived military regimes to long-standing political dynasties.

The fall of a dictatorship often occurs through a combination of internal and external factors, such as economic crises, social unrest, or external pressure from other countries.
