Colectori is a term that appears in several Romance languages to denote devices, structures, or systems that collect or gather something. In Spanish the standard form is colectores (plural) and colector (singular). In Italian the corresponding noun is collettore/collettori. The word is commonly used in technical and infrastructural contexts to refer to components that aggregate flows, signals, or data.

In civil engineering and utilities, un colector or colectores refer to sewer lines that collect wastewater from multiple smaller conduits and transport it to a treatment plant or discharge point. They can be classified as principal or secondary depending on their position in the drainage network and the volume they handle.

In automotive and mechanical engineering, colectores include components such as the colector de admisión (intake manifold) and the colector de escape (exhaust manifold). These structures consolidate the individual cylinders’ channels into a single outlet or inlet, influencing engine performance and efficiency.
