Hard cheeses can stay cooler while still tasting their best. Pairings typically include fresh or dried fruit, nuts, bread or crackers, and suitable beverages such as wine or beer. The overall aim is to create an inviting, varied display that invites tasting rather than overwhelming the palate.

Storage and safety: leftovers should be covered and refrigerated promptly; cheeses generally keep for several days depending on type.
